Contrast/Momentum

Contrast between reality and fantasy has been always an inspiration for me.I observed the rhythm of society and through that I found elements so different from each other combined together.Therefore this series is created from fragments of controversial data that I’ve collected through moments in my life.

Starting from point zero I choose pure white earthenware clay which I feel creates room for creativity and exploration. Beginning to shape on the wheel  I can already feel a sense of freedom in my hands.First firing and I collect an absorbing bisque body from the kiln.Stunning white like a blank page ready to receive any emotion.Then I use a brush in order to transfer a thought of mine on the absorbing surface.

Such an incredible moment filled with e-motion and expression.Dynamic movement filled with explosiveness.Risky moves while building momentum through synchronized gestures.Controversial art makes you think and seek something behind your observations.

A vase that stands still in space.But also maintains motion.
